Have you been feeling the depths of winter? The cold weather whether, makes me want to curl up in a blanket, drink warm tea, and lay around all day. The winter is a time for hibernation, going through and processing old “stuff”, resting, and letting go of what we no longer need so in the spring we can birth (manifest/ create) the new fruits we desire!
This is a great time to notice patterns that keep coming up for you below I have a special opportunity for you! Did you manage to survive the Holiday Rush? This year Christmas feels like it literly flew by. The whole month of December has been somewhat of a blur to me. It was intense!
This week I finally found some time for myself and the funny thing is I didn’t even know where to spend it. Do I journal, clean, go to the gym, do an Epsom salt bath, clean out my closet? WHAT DO I REALLY NEED AND WANT? In today's post give you three steps to help you get what you want in 2014 and introduce my upcoming class Jump Start 2014 to Feel Fabulous. I hope you are enjoying your holiday season! I looked at the calendar earlier this week and realized that Christmas is less than a week away! OH MY! I feel like time is flying! The New Year will be here before you know it!
Are you feeling overwhelmed or caught in your head thinking of all the things you need to do? And like there isn’t enough time to get it all done? The past few weeks I have definitely been feeling a dose of the Holiday rush and now that Christmas is only a few days away I am starting to feel the pressure cooker starting to get a little hotter. Today I want to share with you some things that can help you shift your energy from feeling overwhelmed, alone, or depleted to feeling supported and blessed this Christmas. Happy Thursday!
I hope you are all having a fabulous week. Next week is already Thanksgiving! WOW time seems as though it is moving so quickly. Sunday, Shelby Jean Matonak (Holistic Health Coach, RN, founder of Truth and Alchamey) and I, did a call on how to stay healthy, avoid stress, and weight gain this holiday season! If you missed the call you can listen to the recording here! This week was my birthday week! I was showered with so many birthday wishes, phone calls, messages, and love that at one point I actually felt myself feeling overwhelmed. I caught myself feeling anxious, pulling back, and almost wanting to hide. What was this all about I thought? In the past, I spent my birthday yarning for love and wanting support. Now I have it and I am withdrawing? Do you ever feel like you have people supporting you but you still feel alone? Or people try to give you gifts and you turn them down or say “awww thank you but I can’t take that”? Are you afraid of trusting people or letting them in because you are afraid you might get hurt? The month of October I have been reflecting a lot on my relationships with my loved ones, friends, and even YOU! I realized that I have been afraid to fully let people in and be 100% of myself so I have been wearing a shield (I even gained about 3-5lbs). I was scared I wouldn’t be liked or I would be abandoned. In doing this I have been holding myself back from receiving love and true abundance! 2 c all-purpose flour
1⁄2 c sugar 1⁄2 tsp salt 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp baking soda 1⁄2 tsp cinnamon 1⁄2 tsp vanilla 3 eggs 1 c Plain Greek Yogurt 3⁄4 c Non-fat Milk 1 c canned pumpkin Directions 1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. 2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs; add the yogurt, milk and pumpkin. 3. Combine the egg mixture and the flour mixture and stir until just blended. 4. Use a ¼ cup to pour pancake mixture onto a greased medium-low heat griddle. (Pancakes will cook too quickly on too hot of a pan. Keep the heat low to fully cook the pancakes) This recipe is a great way to add vegetables and protein into your breakfast. The pancakes taste great with out syrup because the pumpkin adds so much moisture and flavor. If there is extra batter, cook all the pancakes, cool to room temp, and freeze. The pancakes are great to pull out of the freezer, pop in the toaster and take to go on a busy morning. 2 cups leafy greens (Baby Spring Mix, Spinach)
¼ cup black beans ¼ cup corn 2 Tbsp Salsa ½ avocado cubed Optional 2 tbsp shredded cheese This mixture is great to keep in mind because it is quick to through together, most of the ingredients you can keep on the shelves, and its packed with nutrients and color. Sundays was the Fall Equinox and the first day of fall.
