Did you manage to survive the Holiday Rush? This year Christmas feels like it literly flew by. The whole month of December has been somewhat of a blur to me. It was intense! This week I finally found some time for myself and the funny thing is I didn’t even know where to spend it. Do I journal, clean, go to the gym, do an Epsom salt bath, clean out my closet? WHAT DO I REALLY NEED AND WANT? In today's post give you three steps to help you get what you want in 2014 and introduce my upcoming class Jump Start 2014 to Feel Fabulous. The Theme that seems to be kicking off the new year is “What do I really need and want?” As we ring in the NEW YEAR it is the perfect opportunity for us to get clear on what we need and want, and let go of the old things we don’t want (expectations, judgments, anger, uncertainties, self-criticism, self-sabotage, excess weight, pain, etc)! One of the greatest things that this Holiday season has taught me is that when I am feeling things from the old (expectations, judgments, anger, etc) it is because I am not in alignment with what I really need or what I really want, and that's where my stress comes from. The truth is I have the choice and the power to shift it and so do YOU!
Here is a three steps process to help you get what you want for 2014. 1. Becoming aware of what you don’t want. When you notice you are feeling stressed, frustrated, sad, lonely, whatever... take a moment and ask yourself why. Identify what's wrong, what is not going right? Is there a place where you are being treated less than you feel you should be? 2. Shifting it until what you do want. Once you have identified what isn't working, take a moment to consider how you would want things to be. What feels good to you? What brings you ease? (P.S. this can be tricky because our first instinct is to consider other people. Try to take everyone else out of the equation...just focus on YOU.) 3. Asking for what you need. Once you have identified what feels good to you practice asking for it. I encourage you to take some time and reflect on 2013 intentions. What were they? Did you accomplish them? Where did you fall short? And then reflect on the year 2013 as a whole, what worked? what didn't? What do you want for 2014? How can you actively participate in shifting energy in 2014 to create what you want? 2014 is just the beginning! So hold on tight, the best is yet to come!
