Are you feeling angry, irritated, or like an emotional mess? Do you feel like you want to throw your hands up and scream? You are not alone!!! This week I got several emails of people reaching out feeling angry and irritated wanting to know…. What can I do to not feel so angry or irritated? Today I want to share with you a little inside scoop.

over it and then pretend it’s not there. We have to look at it , accept that it exists and then release it for healing.” Unknown (thank you to an amazing friend who shared this quote with me yesterday)
Three steps to exploring your anger and learning to love it:
1. Take a step back.
It may be benificial for you to go for a walk or do some yoga to move your physical body and the emotional energy. Hitting a pillow will screaming can also be very benificial! The motion of swinging the arm over the head and then down towards the pillow actually helps release the muscles in our shoulders and upper back - that get tight when we feel angery or irritated. These exercises will help you shift the energy so you can view things in a different way. Then take some time and reflect on:
What is irritating you?
Why are you angry? Write it down.
2. Is this situation true?
Is the situation that you are feeling angry about true? Are is there something you can do differently? Is there a place where you need to speak up or ask for what you want? Or Is there a place where you need to set a healthy boundary and say “NO, that doesn’t work for me”? A lot of times when we feel angry it is because we are over giving or doing something we don’t want to do.
3. Channel it!
Anger like all other emotions, is a healthy emotion. When used properly it helps us set healthy boundaries and realize what we want! It also gives us energy and motivation to move forward! How can you use this energy to move forward?
