Last Monday I took a class with one of my mentors Diana Dorell called “Heal Your Heart” and in the past seven days I have been going through my own healing! When I woke up today, I felt a heavy sadness. I went for a walk to reflect and I realized a few things. 1. In order to truly heal I must grieve the old and let go of what no longer serves me to fully welcome the new opportunities and joy that is waiting to fill my heart. 2. Today is a new moon which represents new beginnings and growing of intentions.
3. Mercury is at the peak of its retrograde. (When mercury is retrograding it is rotating backwards. During this time it is common for things from the past to come up. It is a great time to heal things from the past and redo things that were not done right. In honor of mercury retrograding I want to take a look at the past. In the past food was a big catalyst for me. It was the most tangible, logical thing I could control so that is where I always started when trying to lose weight or trying to feel better (release pain, inflammation, etc). It helped me learn to tune into my body on a physical level …but I felt like there was something more. I wanted more than physical health! I wanted to feel the vibration of love and joy throughout my body. I wanted happiness! Over the past couple of years I found my real freedom and liberation. It came when I started listening to my true self, my inner needs, and soul desire. As I connect back to spirit and connect back to my truth self I feel more alive than ever. The past three years I had over 40lbs of weight fall off, the pain started to go away, met my soul mate, built my private practice, and finally feel like I have found my truth! I am still learning and by no means am I perfect. At times I still feel like I am stuck between the two worlds of the old and the new. Today I am realizing that, in order for me to fully move forward to the new I must let go and grieve the past. We are over half way through our 5 week series! How are you feeling? Do you feel any closer to your goals? Are you feeling bored, tired, and ready to give up? Or do you feel stuck between the old and the new? It’s common for people to get a little tired after the half-way point. The mental chatter may start to come back. Or you may find yourself challenged with questions like: Do I really want this? Am I doing a good enough job? What will other people think? Do I deserve this? Am I good enough? Do I really have what it takes to follow through and reach this goal? Now is the perfect time to re-evaluate what you want! What were your intentions when we started a few weeks ago? What progress have you made towards them? Is this still your heart’s desire? Revaluate how you feel! Before you can know what is right for you, you have to know how you feel. Most of us have learned from a young age that emotions are “bad” or we should feel them in moderation. The truth is there is no such thing as a negative or bad emotion. The term emotion simply means energy in motion. When we avoid feeling our emotions or stuff them down so they don’t come up it causes energy blocks in the body. These energy blocks may manifest into some of the following: physical pain, muscle tension, low energy level, stress, anxiety, or depression. Each emotion holds a specific purpose and has a specific message to tell us. I will talk more about these messages next week. This week I want you to simply practice “feeling” and getting in touch with your emotions. Schedule 2-3 times a day to check in with yourself and ask yourself, “what am I feeling right now” or “how would _____ feel”. It’s common for nothing to come up at first and that is ok…just keep doing it and practicing. Getting Clear on Your Truth: The second action step for this week involves cleansing of the naysayers! It is so easy to lose sight of what you want or who you are, when you are surrounded by the projections of family, friends, co-workers, and even society. This week we are letting it all go! I want you to try on what it would feel like to stop asking people for advice, for help when making decisions, or for their input! WOA… Sometimes other people’s thoughts, perceptions, or suggestions are not in alignment with what we know deep down is best for us! It can also cloud our desire for what we really want and what makes us truly happy! The truth is no one knows what is best for you, better than you do! I know how scary this can be, but let’s think of how empowering it will feel to have a voice, make your own decisions, and be true to yourself without hearing anyone say…well maybe you should do this instead or you really think you can do that? BLAH My suggestion is to keep a journal throughout the week and anytime you feel you need guidance, support, or advice…WRITE! Write to yourself! Ask yourself the questions and as you think of different outcomes or answers feel them in your body. Notice how each answer feels and listen to your body. You have the answers within! Action Steps: 1. Ask yourself how you feel a few times a day 2. Get clear on your truth (practice cleansing from people’s opinions) 3. Practice following your truth and give yourself a HUG! :0) P.S. if you are enjoying this series and want more I am offering three amazing specials until TONIGHT at midnight! Click here to learn more!
